Red pine

Red pine is very easy to identify. Its bark is made of multilayered reddish pink scales.

In these plantations, needles accumulate and decompose slowly on the ground, creating an unfavourable habitat for plants in the undergrowth. Few mushrooms produce fruit bodies here, perhaps due to the change of vocation in relation to the tree species that existed before.
